Information Collection and Use
For a better experience, while using our Service, we may require you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information and device permissions. The information that we request will be retained by us and used as described in this privacy policy.

Camera and AI Image Processing
To facilitate the automatic extraction of items and prices from receipts, the App requests access to your device's camera. When you capture an image of a receipt:
- The image is transmitted securely to our third-party AI provider, Google Gemini, for the purpose of text extraction and analysis.
- This data is used to generate the bill split within the App.
Data Retention for Service Improvement:
- We may retain receipt images and associated processing logs on our servers to improve our services, diagnose issues, and fix bugs.
- This data helps us enhance the accuracy and reliability of our receipt scanning and bill splitting features.
- Retained images and logs are stored securely and are not shared with third parties except as necessary for processing (e.g., Google Gemini) or as required by law.
Contact Information
To enable easy bill splitting and cost assignment, the App may request access to your device's contacts. This allows you to select friends and family from your address book rather than manually typing their details.
How We Use Your Contact Information:
- Local Processing: Contact data from your address book is processed on-device only. The names of your contacts are displayed inside the app to identify who owes what, and this data is never transmitted off your device.
- Collaboration Sessions (Optional): If you choose to participate in a collaboration session—an optional feature that allows multiple users to split a bill together in real-time. Minimal identifying information (your display name and phone number) will be shared with other participants in that session. This sharing only occurs when you actively opt into a collaboration session.
Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.
